The name given by the small sandstone rocks which are the main part of the sandstone compound. The vineyard is situated on the western brim of Deidesheim on a south facing hill.
The grapes were selected and picked end of September, pressed for 5 hours, fermented 1/4 in traditional oak barrel and the rest in stainless steel with indigenous yeast. Bottled end of April.
Elegant Riesling with a lit of crispy minerality.
On the nose: Lemon fruit, stone fruit, citronella grass.
Soil: Loam, sandy-loam, argil and limestone.
Food recommendation: Perfect by the gas or with Asian inspirited kitchen.
Alcohol: 12,5% vol.
