This region is best known for its red wines which grow especially well on the steep slopes of the Neckar River and its tributaries. These steep slopes have a diverse range of soils which means wines from the Württemberg are widely varied in character. Red wines account for around 75% of the vineyard area and the most important white grape variety is the Riesling which accounts for around 18%. Our Württemberg producer of choice is Weingut Aldinger.
