After almost three years Iris Ellmann (right), Managing Director of The WineBarn, had the pleasure of meeting Sommelier Melania Bellesini (left) from The Fat Duck Group again.
Melania is one of the most respectful and well-mannered Sommeliers in the UK and The Fat Duck is a Heston Blumenthal restaurant in Berkshire that has been awarded three Michelin stars.
We tasted nine wines from refreshing Rieslings to more mature, complex ones, as well as fruity Spätburgunders (Pinot Noirs) and noble sweet Spätburgunder Eiswein (ice wines). It was a very enjoyable tasting and we would be honoured to work with The Fat Duck again, which was one of The WineBarn's first clients 20 years ago.
