The grapes used for this wine originate form the Ihringer Winklerberg, which is recognized as the warmest vineyard site in Germany. Due to strict reduction of yiests, the distinctive terroir character, and the unique mocro climate, this wine meets the highest requirements in the way as they are common for "Grand Cru" appellations in France. After traditional mash fermentation process, this wine has been ages for 16 months in partly new barrique barrels to refine its character.
Extraordinarity fine and tightly knit bouquet of dried red cherries, red current, dog roses and a hints of mahagony, chinnamon and cardamom. Initially with a vibrant backbone on the palate. The brilliant and filigree acidity gives a pleasant vitality to the fine fruit body. Slightly smoky aroma of rose hips, dried berries and sweet cherries. Noble tannin anselegant spine. Full of character and with the savory touch and great aomplexity of a truly great wine in the finish.
