Grauburgunder wines from the Ihringer Winklerberg have a distinct minerality that adds elegance and finesse to their power.
Tasting notes: Wonderfully expressive nose of ripe pears, mirabelles and cantaloupe melon. Supple approach and pleasant richness on the palate. Juicy and dense, this wine shows all the great characteristics of Pinot Gris without any heaviness. The volcanic rocks provide a very fine spiciness. Perfectly balanced acidity structure with fine weight and presence in the finish.
Food recommendation: And excellent wine along with grilled fish, savoury roast, chicken and feathered game, as well as with hearty Mediterranean dish and pasta. Also a good recommendation for mild cheeses, spicy titbits or tapas.
