Wine: The conditions of the Franconia region compliment the Silvaner variety. Silvaner is also Wirsching winery's specialism. This Silvaner has a character that's full of vitality. Its fresh bouquet shows fine fruity notes and in taste its youthful lightness is remarkable. This light acidity and mineral taste is so typical of their wines.
Fermentation: This Silvaner is fermented at a lower temperature in comparison to their classic wines that are fermented in traditional Bocksbeutel. This means the carbon dioxide is preserved, giving the wine its tangy character and pleasant freshness.
Award: The Wien Spectator awarded this wine with 88 points. The judge said, "This is drinking nicely with a smooth texture and ample spice and mineral notes. The acidity provides great balance, lending just enough vivaciousness." (August 2020)
