Tamlyn is part of renowned wine critic Jancis Robinson’s team - she is an excellent wine writer and manages the organisation’s tasting notes.

"On a south-facing slope, volcanic soils. Was its own single vineyard until 1971 and it was only in 2013 that they were once again allowed to call it by its proper name. This is the only wine they do a cold soak on, for one week. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and in barrel for one year. Charming perfume with a tracing-paper-fine touch of the autumn leaves and mushrooms to come. Sweet, pretty, generous strawberry and cherry fruit with a touch of marzipan on the palate. Gentle but those tannins are confident; peppery, gentlemanly but in charge. Love the cool, mineral-dust spice here. Baharat, again. Long and fantastic."

This Spätburgunder Grand Cru has a dense, red berry aroma and is juicy, powerful and elegant on the palate. It has a long finish with pronounced, but well-integrated tannins. The grapes that produced this Spätburgunder were grown on 30 year old vines.
