This rosé is made from red Pinot Noir grapes and has a beautiful salmon to rosé colour. This slightly reddish rosé wine is developed by treating the red grapes like they are white grapes, so the grapes are only a few hours in contact with their skin before they are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Region: This dry rosé is fromt he Ahr region. The secret of Ahr wines is the region's perfect microclimate, which is created by geological conditions. The steep, south facing vineyards provide optimal exposure to the sun and their weathered soils are predominantly made up of slate and grey wacke, which store heat well. This is how the narrow valley, which is protected by the mountains, quickly warms up - offering the vines an ideal habitat.

Vinification: The Pinot Noir grapes are picked by hand and transported to the winery in small boxes. The grapes are gently pressed and the must is clarified by sedimentation. The cooler and strained fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. After several weeks of storage on the lees, the filling takes place over about six months.

Tasting Notes: This intensely salmon coloured Pinot Noir Rosé is a wine to be enjoyed on sunny days. In the nose it has pronounced aromas of raspberry and strawberry, as well as hints of violet. On the palate, this rosé is very juicy, concentrated and fresh, with an excellent harmony between sweetness and acidity.
