This vineyard was a wedding present to Ulrich Allendorf; his hottest and driest being on a parabola of land. It is the earliest to shoot and flower, but it’s ready to pick at the same time as the other cooler vineyards, so it gives the vines a very long growing season. Lemon cream, verbena, and an almost minty note on the nose. The palate is lemon lined, saline, imbued with that same green verbena/mint coolness and elegance. Fresh and long. The fragrance of the Roseneck is aromatic and elegant. The wine exhibits a very fine aroma with hints of passion fruit, lime and peachy notes.
The fruitiness of the fragrance can also be distinguished in the taste. The wine feels very smooth to the tongue and has an elegant minerality. A well balanced harmony invites further tasting.
