The grapes are grown in the most famous single site in Münster-Sarmsheim named Dautenpflänzer. A south-facing, steep vineyard with gravels of red quartzite slate.
The age of the wine is more then 35 years, yield is not more then 45 hl/ha, the ripened grapes were harvested in the last week of October. The wine was fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel and matured in big wooden casks made of nearby Hunsrück oak.
The wine shows a solid aroma of peaches and apricots with long lasting aftertaste and with a little imagination you can even taste the Hunsrück wood.
