The Silvaner, seen as an ancestor for decades in the Franconian wine region, reflects many of the Franconian characteristics. Wine experts consider it to be the true Franconian wine. No other grape variety lets the territory come through in taste so successfully. Creamy and tangy on the palate with an unobtrusive sweetness and retaining acidity.
Noble components of fruits, a delicate but still present acidity together with rich extracts, makes the wine taste unique. Like other top wines, it only ripens under the best microclimatic conditions.
