Vineyard: It is their Riesling Grand Cru "Schweigener Sonnenberg" vineyard. Sparse limestone soil planted with old vines. Naturally low yields and grapes of the highest quality.
Vinification: The grapes are carefully hand-picked in the vineyard, and after several hours of skin contact, gently pressed. Fermentation and maturation took place in stainless-steel tanks. Following an extended fermentation with wild yeasts, lengthy lees aging, and the gentlest filtration, bottling took place in May 2016.
Alcohol: 8%
Res.sugar: 154.40 g/l
Acidity: 10,6 g/l
Wine: Golden-yellow reflections in the glass.
On the nose, aromas of yellow dried fruit, ripe citrus, honey, and a hint of apple.
On the palate, juicy and assertive, yet also supple, leaving a long-lasting impression.
