Wine: A rich golden yellow, this Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) Grand Cru is enormously smooth and has elegant fruit notes of ripe pineapple and pear. It also has a very harmonious acidity and structure.
Food recommendation: This dry white wine pairs well with fried crustaceans, such as lobster sauce or filet of monkfish in Pinot Gris sauce.
Vineyard: The grauburgunder grapes were from 35 year old vines grown on old terraces rich in loess.
Vinification: The wine matured partly in stainless steel vats, and partially in barriques (old oak barrels) where it was left on the lees for 8 months.
Bottled: July 2024
Drinking temperature: 11-13°C
Alcohol: 12,5% vol.
Res. sugar: 1,2 g/l
