Wine: Deep ruby red in colour, Bischel's Estate Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) reveals aromas of red berry fruits and fully ripened cherries. Subtle herbal notes add further complexity to its inviting bouquet.
Fresh and juicy on the palate, this dry red combines vibrant fruit with delicate spice and finely polished tannins. A gentle savoury edge provides structure and definition, resulting in a balanced, elegant and very drinkable wine with remarkable finish.

Vineyard: The grapes used to produce this wine originate from Bischel's Appenheim vineyards that have soil rich in limestone and loam. Low yields of approximately 35 hl/ha ensure concentrated fruit, and a characterful wine that is truly expressive of the vineyard's terroir.

Vinification: Grapes are selectively harvested by hand. After de-stemming, the grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts in open-top stainless steel vats. Following fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in barriques (French oak barrels) that are two to four years old. The wine is then bottled unfiltered to preserve its full character and complexity.
