Wirsching 2023 Iphöfer Kronsberg Riesling Alte Reben Premier Cru dry

Wine: This Riesling Alte Reben is characterised by a pleasant notes of peach in both its bouquet and its taste. Though vigorous in flavour, its fine style originates from an elegant acidic balance. Typical of Franconian Rieslings, it impress with its grand fruity aroma, subtle acidity and fine mineral character.

Vineyard: In general, the appellation "Alte Reben" meaning "Old Vines", defines the vine's age as being at least 20 years old. The grapes in Wirsching's Kronsberg vineyard come from vines that are an average age of 40 years. Old vines much deeper, thick roots enabling them to absorb more extracts and minerals from the soil than younger vines, which gives this dry Riesling its powerful and distinctive character.
