Vineyard: In Dernau the Arh valley after its narrow points and offers space for a steep valley basin in which the Pfarrwingert lies. The name of the vineyard goes back to the Catholic parish church of Dernaus, which is still the landowner in this parcel. The Particularly favorable southern exposure and slope, in combination with the easily warmer ground, lead to a favorable microclimate in this location. This one occurring greywacke is a granular debris sediment, which with Slate fragments are baked into a sandstone-like structure. The Pfarrwingert brings extremely fragrant wines with subtle fruit and fine flavor pronounced minerality.

Vinification: Old vines, sustainable vineyard work, consistent yield reducation and careful hand-picking form the basisn for this wine. The yield is around 30 hl/ha. The grapes are gently transported to the winery in small boxes, spontaneous fermentation, 20 days maceration time on the mash, aging in barriques (30% new wood content) on the fine yeast for 18 months, followed by 6 months in bottle storage. Unfiltered bottling.

Wine: This wine is characterized by the aromas of wild red berries, blueberries and cherries. This intense, clear fruit is underlined by spicy herbal components, delicate roasted aromas and violets. On the tongue it shows an animating freshness and saltiness, firm minerality and depth. This Pinot Noir shows complexity with a mouth-filling, silky tannin structure.
