Bercher 2022 Burkheimer Feuerberg Haslen Weissburgunder Grand Cru dry white wine

Bercher 2022 Burkheimer Feuerberg Haslen Weissburgunder Grand Cru dry

Regular price £36.15
"Bercher's stoniest vineyard. Smells so strongly of oranges and even a touch of marmalade. Orange peel and grace notes of orange blossom dancing above the glass. So fragrant. The acidity is clear, vibrato and tinged with apricot-stone bitterness and greengage. Gentle herbiness and dustiness on the finish. Thyme and pepper. This is superb. Is it really only £36? The finish is endless and so stony. And textured. It's like holding moor-stream pebbles in your mouth and feeling a tiny bracken frond pressed against the stone. And it's just a baby. I know from personal experience that Bercher's Weissburgunders and Grauburgunders age with extraordinary stature and complexity."

17.5+/20

This Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) Grand Cru dry had a light golden yellow colour. On the nose, it has fresh scents of herb, ripe apple and pear. On the palate it is mineralic with a long finish.
