A dry Riesling with intense aromas of peach. This dry white wine's residual sugar, makes gives it complexity.
The Riesling grapes were grown in one of Göttelmann's best sites - "Le Mur". A steep, south-facing vineyard sheltered from the cold winds by Hunsrück mountains, it is surrounded by a wall.
Originally called "Die Mauer" or "The Wall", the youngest daughter of the Göttelmann generation suggested to call this vineyard "Le Mur", which has a much nicer sound. The vines, which were planted 18 years ago, cover an area of 50 hl/ha.
Harvesting took place in late October. The wine was fermented and matured with indigenous yeast in huge oak casks.
