Jakob Schneider's top class Riesling Auslese has concentrated flavours of honey and peach.
The grapes for this wine come from one of the oldest vineyards of the Schneider estate, which has vines that are around 45 years. The vineyard is steep and south facing slope, with with grey slate and volcanic rock which warms up quickly, providing optimum growing conditions.
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in steel vats with 60% natural yeast. The wine was bottled in April 2023
