Tasting notes: On the nose. this Riesling Auslese has fruit aromas of apricot, pear, quince, lemon and orange. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, with a distinct minerality and acidity.
Vineyard: Situated on the western brim of Deidesheim in the Pflaz region of Germany, the Hohenmorgen vineyard is one of the oldest examples of quality Palatine's wine making. The south facing Hohenmorgen sloped vineyard is 2,76ha. 2,09ha belong to the Bassermann-Jordan wine estate. It is the smallest and most exclusive vineyard of Deidesheim with the highest rated quality of soil.
Food recommendation: This Riesling Auslese is the ideal aperitif, and the perfect companion to desserts. It also pairs perfectly with foie gras.
