Allendorf N/V Riesling Sekt Brut

Allendorf N/V Riesling Sekt Brut

Regular price £19.60

"Lifted hints of dried lemon and orange peel tinged with honey signal some post-disgorgement evolution. More air adds hints of juicy clementine. The palate is frothy and alive with citrus: think tangy tangerine and riper clementine. The finish is just as fruity but finishes on a beautiful, dry but very juicy note. Great as an aperitif, great with canapés, just made for a party!"

Riesling brut - a classic! Refreshing and sparkling, with a delicate creamy note and elegant body. Noble yet playful, it speaks to all of our senses.

Vineyard: Rheingau and Riesling - they definitely belong together. There is no other wine growing area in Germany that is dominated as much by one grape variety: They grow almost 80% Riesling - and rightly so! Their cool climate fits perfectly to the characteristics fo the grape variety and makes it an all-rounder: From first course wines to the top and noble sweet wine to the sparkling wine - the Riesling can do it all!

Wine: To achieve texture and ripeness, 50% of the base wine was matured in large wooden barrels and underwent biological acid decomposition. This was followed by a second fermentation and yeast contact for at least 12 months during which they carried out a batonage (stirring of the yeast) twice a week for 10 months. This gives the sparkling wine a fine perlage.

Food recommendation: As an aperitif of with first courses of fish or salad.

Drinking temperature: 8°C

Alcohol: 12,0% vol.
Res. sugar: 10,3 g/l
Acidity: 7,0 g/l

The Allendorf N/V Riesling Sekt Brut from Germany's Rheingau region is a lively and elegant sparkling wine. It offers fresh citrus aromas of lemon and orange peel, with bright flavors of tangerine and clementine on the palate. The dry yet juicy finish makes it a versatile pairing for fish, poultry, and appetizers.

The team at The WineBarn is always lovely and helpful.
