Bercher's velvety ruby red Limburg Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) has aromas of sour and sweet cherries, as well as hints of dark chocolate, bitter orange and figs. It has a finely balanced tannin structure on the palate with a mineralic, juicy length on the finish.
The grapes for this Spätburgunder were hand picked and gently pressed. Mash fermentation took place for for 18 days, followed by 24 months maturation in barriques (oak barrels).
Food recommendation: This Premier Cru is the perfect companion to rabbit roulade with prunes and rosemary jus or rack of lamb with a tapenade crust.
