Jürgen Ellwanger 2014 Hebsacker Lichtenberg Spätburgunder Grand Cru dry red wine

Jürgen Ellwanger 2014 Hebsacker Lichtenberg Spätburgunder Grand Cru dry

Regular price £41.35
"Fragrant and delicate. Fruit is bright and fresh and the wine is still extraordinarily youthful. Quite fine in terms of fruit and restrained tannins. Altogether restrained. Not exuberant. It's slender. But like Ellwanger's other two Spätburgunders in this tasting, the joy and fullness of this wine is all on the finish. These Ellwanger wines really want you to pour them in large glasses, give them space and time. But what a treat to be able to get hold of a nine-year-old GG Spätburgunder and drink it at a time when it's so ready to be tasted."
