Wine: A complex, opulent Riesling Beerenauslese of great density and intensity.
Vineyard: The grapes were harvested from K. F. Groebe's oldest Riesling vineyards in Kirchspiel. Located on the upper slopes of a south-easterly hillside, the vineyard is located in the historical part of Westhofen. A chain of hills to the west and north of the location protects the vineyards from cold winds. Due to the gradient and exposition of the land, the vineyards enjoy optimum exposure to the sun. The Kirchspiel terrain is composed predominantly of limestone, as well as weathered chalky clay.
Vinification: Only noble rot shriveled raisin berries are used for this wine. The individual berries are carefully selected individually by hand.
Alcohol: 8,5% vol.
