A lasting Silvaner with powerful extract, its aroma is multi-layered:. It has flavours of wild herbs, subtle fruity notes of pear and apple together. Its enormous density and length give this wine a complex structure.
The Iphöfer Kronsberg is one of the top Franconian vineyards. It is south facing, yet cooler due to the air currents from the eastern forests. The Kronsberg wines are characterised by fine fruit flavours, harmony and elegance.
The vineyard has soil rich in Keuper - a sedimentary rocks interspersed with gypsum. The Keuper gives this wine its power and full body, like the opulent marshy landscape in which the rick was formed. The older the vines, the better this co-called "terroir" can be tasted: subtle fruity notes, a spicy, herbal aroma and a strong, mineralic flavour that lingers.
Food recommendation: The perfect companion to vegetables stew or casseroles, as well as chicken, veal or light fish dishes.
