Schneider's first class Eiswein has concentrated flavours of honey and peach. Though it's yeast content is low, it is a very sweet, intense and concentrated ice wine.
The grapes for this wine come from one of the oldest vineyards on the Schneider estate. The vineyard's steep slope is made of grey slate and volcanic rock. It is south-facing, so benefits from the warm sun. Here the Schneider family harvest their premium dry wines, as well as their excellent sweet wines.
Grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel vats. The sweet grape juice only contains 60% natural yeast. After fermentation, the wine was bottled in April 2013.

I gathered information based on available details about the Schneider 2012 Riesling Eiswein and its recognition in the wine community. However, I did reference their product page for specific tasting notes and information, which helped in crafting a concise summary of the wine's characteristics. For direct assistance, The WineBarn's staff are always available to offer personalised advice and recommendations and they are lovely people.
