Vineyard: Sourced from the esteemed VDP.Ortswein-classified Winkler vineyards of Hasensprung and Gutenberg, this Riesling benefits from vines aged between 25 to 40 years, deeply rooted in rich loam and loess soils that impart structure and depth.
Wine: A bold, expressive Riesling with a firm grip and a fine, yeasty backbone. Its creamy texture is beautifully balanced by a lively, harmonious acidity, leading into a long, elegant finish. Bursting with intense aromas and complexity, this wine is full of personality and shows great ageing potential.
Crafted from grapes grown exclusively in a single vineyard area, the wine captures the essence of the Winkeler terroir. Fermented spontaneously and matured for eleven months in traditional 2,400L “Doppelstück” wooden barrels on the full lees, it’s a wine of impressive depth and authenticity.
